Murchison Middle School Teacher Needs

The PTA has just finished allocating nearly $17,000 to purchase the items listed below to enhance classroom learning. Thanks to all the teachers who recognized what was needed and submitted requests. Many thanks to PTA 1st Vice-President Melanie Wilkes who ably led the Teacher Needs Committee to a consensus on what to purchase with the funds available.

The PTA makes money in order to support the work of teachers and students. This committee's work is the the culmination of funds raised from the Matador Club and some of the funds from Fall Fest. The Teachers Needs Committee directs how the money is spent. But first they meet to review teacher requests, then research, evaluate and compare items before purchase. This group devoted many hours to complete this process. Thanks to the following committee members: Melanie Wilkes, Cathy Glazener, Shawn LaTorre, Pam Franke, Linda Wofford, Valeri Olles.
