What is Partners In Education (PIE)?
Murchison Middle School's Partners in Education program is an avenue for local businesses to enhance the quality of education in our neighborhood school. We adhere to the mission statement of Austin Partners in Education (APIE) - to create and foster effective community partnerships that support and enhance student learning and success. Area businesses are encouraged to support the school and the PTA by sponsoring events such as Fall Fest and the Fine Arts Festival. Underwriting is also accepted to support Friends of Landscaping/ Greenhouse, Friends of the Library, and Friends of Technology/Communication. In-kind donations and volunteer hours are also gratefully accepted from our partners. The gifts made by our business partners allow the PTA to support teachers, enhance classrooms, develop after-school clubs, and much more. Murchsion's Partners in Education realize that when they support our school, they are strengthening public education and the Austin business community.
We're thankful to have National Instruments employees volunteer to work with Murchison sixth graders as they develop a robotics club and compete in the National Lego League Robotics Tournament.
The school's green house and planting beds were restored and rejuvenated with the help of many local businesses.
We are grateful to our Partners in Education. Their financial and in-kind donations allow the PTA to enrich the learning environment for all Murchison students.
